Other accommodation

Leeds is a large, metropolitan city, and there is a wealth of other accommodation options.  VisitLeeds has a very good website setting out a number of options, from big chain hotels, through to serviced apartments and small, independent B&Bs.

Travelodge
There are two branches of Travelodge in Leeds. Travelodge Central is near the train station, and Travelodge Vicar Lane is on the east side of the city centre. Both are approximately a 30-45min walk from the conference venue.

Premier Inn
Please note that there are three branches of Premier Inn in Leeds, all of which are called ‘Leeds City Centre’ – further specification is given in brackets.  Two of the branches are some distance from the conference venue, so please check carefully before you complete your booking!
The closest to the venue is Premier Inn Leeds City Centre (Leeds Arena), approximately a 20 min walk to the conference venue.
Premier Inn Leeds City Centre (Whitehall Road) is convenient for the train station, and approximately a 30min walk to the conference venue.
Premier Inn Leeds City Centre (Wellington Street) is more isolated and difficult to access by foot, but is approximately a 30 min walk from the conference venue.

Holiday Inn
There are two branches of Holiday Inn Express in the city centre (and a third a significant way out in Garforth).
Holiday Inn Express (Leeds City Centre) is to the west of the city centre, and approximately a 20-25 min walk to the conference venue.
Holiday Inn Express is to the south-east of the city centre, and approximately a 40 min walk from the conference venue.
Holiday Inn Express (Leeds) is slightly misleadingly named, and is a 20 min drive out of the city without traffic.  The conference team would not advise that you book this accommodation, and please be observant when you do book!

Bed and Breakfasts
There are a huge number of B&Bs in Leeds, and there are some particularly nice ones in Headingley, which is a leafy suburb to the north of the city, famous for the cricket ground.  There are a vast array of cafes, restaurants and bars.  There is also easy and relatively regular transport into the city centre and to the conference via bus.  It is approximately a 20 min walk to the University campus.  VisitLeeds have a database of B&Bs which you can browse here.
